CIS 216 - Programming Principles 3 Credits
This course is of a theoretical-practical nature, and will assist the student in developing basic computing solutions using principles of programming. In this course, students will learn how to use a computer to design algorithms that translate into a programming language code. Programmers need to know more than how to program in a single language, as well as an understanding the different styles of programming promoted by different languages. These design tradeoffs between the diverse programming paradigms, make it much easier to master new languages quickly. The course also provides emphasis on proper programming methodology, problem-solving, structured programming techniques, code implementation, debugging, and testing. Prerequisites: CIS 120 .
