ACC 345 - Data Analytics for Accountants 3 Required Credits Credits
This course covers the analysis of data as it pertains to accounting professionals. Areas of focus include analytic techniques for decision making and the examination of "big data" involving accounting information. Students will learn how to conduct data analysis using various software tools used in data analytics for accounting professionals. Uses discussed will include audit monitoring, analysis of data to determine the best course of action for business organizations, and searching for patterns in customer behavior and market trends to drive company strategy. Data Analytics is integral in shaping the landscape of the business world.
Prerequisites: ACC211 and CIS250
