EDU 629 - Emerging Technology Trends in Education

This course focuses on emerging technologies in education and prepares educators to become technology leaders and specialists in facilitating learning in their field. Learners will examine a variety of new technologies and consider ways in which they may be implemented in real world education environments. Specific unit software will change frequently as new trends and technologies evolve, however, the core principles of each technology and how they are applied will remain the same over longer periods of time. Learners will explore hands-on practices with emerging technology to develop portfolio materials throughout the course and become more adept with specific applications of technology. The overall goal of this course is to ensure learners are aware of evolving educational technologies and how to implement them practically as they are considered for widespread use in educational environments.
