MUS 101 - Music Appreciation

This course will explore the history of Western music, from early music and medieval times through the 20th century and popular music of today. Non-western music is examined to compare and contrast worldwide musical origins, elements, and cultural characteristics. Students will become more engaged listeners through the analysis and appreciation of world music through varied listening activities.
