This course provides a survey of significant developments in world history from the science and philosophical revolutions of Europe in the 17^th and 18^th century to the Post-World War II Era. Emphasis is placed on the emergence of ideological movements; regional, economic, and political patterns; and technological innovations that fostered the rise and fall of empires as well as promoted war and peace.
