EQU 301 - Equine Industry Orientation

3 Credits

This course begins with review of the recent history of the horse industry in the United States, considers the current state of the industry, and explores possibilities for the future. Students develop a basic understanding of the business manager's day-to-day concerns and examine various factors that affect business sustainability. Personal professional development topics are addressed in relation to specific businesses and the industry as a whole, which contributes billions of dollars to the U.S. economy.
Prerequisites: EQU 105.
