PAD 672 - Advanced Communication and Community Engagement

Managing community and public relations is an essential 21st-century skill for criminal justice professionals. This course discusses the differences between public and community relations, emphasizing professional image and the development of positive relationships between members of the public and criminal justice professionals. Students will explore the use of social media and other public information communications means, strategies for community empowerment, and customer service best practices.
Prerequisites: PAD 601, PAD 610, PAD 616, PAD 625, PAD 634, PAD 645, PAD 656, BUS 530.
