PAD 625 - Labor Law & Relations 3 Credits
This course provides students with a working knowledge of the legal rights and obligations of employers, employees, and unions. The course also provides an overview of the broader role and history of unions and union-management relations. Executive and legislative efforts to weaken collective bargaining rights and the role of the judiciary will be explored. Other topics discussed include the legal and ethical issues informing the use of union power to promote social and workplace change.
