ENV 110 - Exploring Environmental Issues

Environmental issues are one of the most pressing problems for society to address in the 21^st century. This course explores the many aspects of the environment and emphasizes the ways in which the physical, biological, and chemical components interact. Students will gain a broad understanding of the environment, including relationships among organisms, the importance of biodiversity, and the structure of different biomes across the globe. Emphasis is placed on how humans interact with the environment, and special topics will include managing current threats to human and environmental health and the sustainable use of natural resources within a changing climate.
