BIO 204L - Anatomy and Physiology II Lab 1 Credits
This course is the Main Campus laboratory companion to BIO 204 Anatomy and Physiology II lecture. Students will use hands-on activities to deepen learning of the structure and function of the senses and the endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, urinary, digestive, and reproductive systems. Students will be able to identify tissues and microscopic structures in histological samples. Students will become proficient in dissection and careful examination of preserved vertebrate organs and animals in order to identify structures in their natural location and appreciate individual variations. Comparative approaches will be used to emphasize evolutionary origins and to help students gain an intuitive understanding of the interrelationship of form and function. Prerequisites: BIO 203L or permission of the Academic Department. Laboratory fee required.
