Mission

The mission of The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business identifies our educational and strategic commitments:

The mission of The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business is to create an educational environment where everyone has a chance to succeed, no matter who or where they are.

We do this through three key behaviors: (1) We are laser-focused on each learner and their unique needs. (2) We provide the absolute best support from a business school in higher education. And (3) Ferociously and consistently challenge the status quo.

Our mission statement confirms our commitment to students and their success through academic excellence, experiential learning, and entrepreneurial thinking. We are committed to providing the highest possible quality in teaching and outreach to attain these goals. We believe that academic excellence in a modern business education requires an entrepreneurial perspective that strives to identify and address business and societal challenges experienced by workers, managers, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and the greater community in which our students live and work.

The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business is identified by outstanding business faculty with a commitment to the teacher-scholar model, talented students, successful alumni, and close partnerships with major corporations, both locally and globally. Strengthened by support from Post University's administration and engaged advisory boards, the Malcolm Baldrige School of Business aspires to be the #1 Business School for working adults and, by extension, help as many people as possible to maximize their success through higher education. We intend to accomplish these aspirations through key strategic areas, including (1) a laser focus on our students and their unique needs, (2) entrepreneurial training of business leaders, and (3) engagement of, and commitment to, the local, regional, and national needs of the communities in which our students live and work.

The Business School's goal for the next decade is to gain international recognition for our ability to prepare working adults for business in tomorrow's economy and for our ability to have a real-world impact on social issues impacting our learner's communities. We will do this through our distinctive competencies, which include:

  • An integrative curriculum that blends the entrepreneurial mindset with social responsibility.
  • Classroom pedagogy and andragogy that provides a real-world context to business fundamentals.
  • Cutting-edge instruction that leverages technology and thought-leadership on business practice, entrepreneurship and societal responsibility.
  • Strategic use of technology as an enabler in the solution of complex business issues.
  •  Intensive experiential learning opportunities that provide a meaningful business context to the classroom.

Additionally, we will leverage our corporate partnerships to enhance learning by providing active experiences to enrich student development.
