BUS 528 - Strategy, Operations and Execution


3 Credits

Strategy, Operations and Execution involves how companies develop their Go-To-Market plans and plan to execute those plans to produce goods and services efficiently to meet consumer requirements.  The entire process of managing a set of inputs ranging from materials, resources, and energy into outputs of goods and/or services, based on a company's market strategy is what is the focus of the course. The covers a wide spectrum of functions that includes manufacturing, financial, healthcare, and retail services and includes product strategy, process technologies, capacity and risk management, and lean methodologies.  Service operations need to be optimized for effectiveness and efficiency to ensure satisfied customer experiences.  Today operations are global and involve cultural values and expectations from a diverse demographic.  Operations managers need to address the wide array of requirements from product or service inception to final delivery to consumers.
Prerequisites: BUS 503  and BUS 530 .
