N 755PE - Health Statistics 3 Credits
This course prepares students to systematically apply strategic approaches for managing, analyzing, and presenting qualitative and quantitative healthcare data for evidence- based practice in nursing. Within the framework of scientific inquiry, students will develop the competencies needed to select and perform appropriate statistical techniques for describing phenomena, exploring relationships, and comparing groups. This course introduces an overview of major concepts in statistics, including the distinction between parametric and nonparametric statistics, principles of measurement, and the interpretation of inferential statistical significance using contemporary analytic methods. This course includes 30 hours of practice learning experience hours. Prerequisites: N 725PE .
