This course provides an overview of concepts and theories related to community health nursing. The emphasis during this course is on population-focused practice, health promotion, health maintenance, and risk reduction. Topics include core functions and essential services of public health, epidemiology concepts, community assessment, and interprofessional collaboration to meet client needs in community settings. This course includes 30 hours of practice experience activities.
