SOC 326 - Medical Sociology

In this course, students will examine the sociological perspective as it relates to health, illness, and health care. This examination includes the social and cultural aspects and social meanings of health, illness, and health care, social experiences of disability, chronic illnesses, chronic pain, and mental health. Special attention will be given to health and wellness disparities among marginalized groups.
