MUS 103 - Foundation of Music

This course explores the elements of music theory and composition. Students will gain an understanding of basic music theory that includes, but is not limited to melody, rhythm, key signature, meter signature, intervals, and major/minor scales and keys. Important music vocabulary is also reviewed. Students will learn to become more engaged listeners through the simple analysis of varied listening examples.
