ENV 300 - Toxicology 3 Credits
This course begins with the basic principles of toxicology including dose-response relationships, bioactivation and bioaccumulation, detoxification and risk determination. Principles will be applied to specific examples within the following: hepatic, respiratory, circulatory, nervous, and reproductive systems. Emphasis will be placed on chemical carcinogens (natural and synthetic) and drug metabolism. Prerequisites: BIO 120 or BIO 143 or ENV 121 or permission of the Academic Department.
