CRJ 344 - Fire & Arson Investigation 3 Credits
This course studies the compilation and analysis of information related to fires and explosions. The primary focus of this course is to understand how to conduct, determine and document the area of origin and cause of a fire and the factors that contribute to the ignition and subsequent growth. Laws pertaining to burning, arson, and search and seizure are discussed. Attention is given to the basics of fire science, forensic science, including photography. Prerequisites: CRJ 211 or permission of the Academic Department.
