MBA 505 SIM - Healthcare Financial and Managerial Accounting

Financial reporting systems have changed over the past several years and will continue to change. The financial world experienced unparalleled challenges, such as globalization, deregulation, and digitization. Amid these changes, the accounting profession must provide reliable and relevant information to users.

This course is designed to provide MBA - Healthcare students with a solid foundation in accounting by introducing students to (1) organizational financial statements and (2) cost concepts and their uses. This course describes accounting as the language of business and the use of accounting information in making economic decisions. The importance of financial accounting information for investors and creditors, internal parties, and others is included. This course content also includes an overview of procedures that assist with generating balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flows. By the end of the course, students will have an improved understanding of how to analyze financial and managerial accounting content.
Prerequisites: MBA 520 .
