CHS 113 - Fostering the Development of Infants and Toddlers 3 Credits
This course will introduce students to the importance of fostering the development of infants and toddlers from birth to age three, along with the fundamental concepts, ethical conduct, best practices, and NAEYC's accreditation standards and competencies for early childhood educators. The course aligns with the theories of learning and development and has opportunities for informal or virtual field experiences. Course topics include developmental milestones, the importance of routines, age-appropriate environments, activities, and materials, the importance of the family, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
