HSV 210 - Child Welfare

This course will review different forms of child abuse and neglect and provide an overview of the child protection system in the United States. Students will examine the history of child welfare efforts including past and present policies and programs and the role of children within the family unit. The course also explores the prevention, intervention, and family preservation efforts that support and strengthen families.
