MBA 542 SIM - Healthcare Strategic Planning and Management


3 Credits

This course explains the essential tasks of leading and managing healthcare organizations through planning targeted activities. Healthcare managers must become strategic thinkers who can evaluate the changing environment, question assumptions, and develop new ideas. To illustrate this process, the course uses real-world examples of healthcare organizations' strategic plans. Student assignments focus on "hot topics," such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, and technological innovations such as artificial intelligence. Through research and case study analysis, students will learn how to formulate effective healthcare strategies.
Prerequisites: MBA 520 .
