MBA 564 - Performance and Quality Improvement in Healthcare

This course provides a comprehensive framework to explore quality management with a systems approach perspective. Performance and quality improvement principles will be examined to analyze how the healthcare services organization's leadership team can apply the principles to support improved healthcare services outcomes. We will learn how the application of quality improvement tools, data analytics, and performance metrics contributes to the accomplishment of system-wide performance objectives to attain strategic goals. We will evaluate how safety culture, information systems, and employee engagement influence the implementation and sustainment of high-performing healthcare services teams.
Prerequisites: MBA 520
