Accounting Minor

The Accounting Minor is offered on campus and online.

The Accounting Minor focuses on the concepts and principles that are the foundation of accounting. The Accounting Minor exposes students to the basic concepts of the accounting framework for recording and reporting of transactions, and the basic principles of financial management. Students will learn how to prepare and analyze financial statements.

Accounting Minor: 15 Required Credits

ACC 111 - Financial Accounting 3 Credits
ACC 211 - Managerial Accounting 3 Credits

Plus any three of the following electives:

ACC 100 Level or Higher Elective 3 Credits
ACC 301 - Cost Accounting 3 Credits
ACC 303 - Intermediate Accounting I 3 Credits
ACC 305 - Analysis of Financial Statements 3 Credits
ACC 315 - Fraud Prevention and Examination 3 Credits
ACC 325 - Forensic Accounting 3 Credits
