The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is designed for experienced business leaders and academics to build upon and enhance their skills. The DBA at Post University emphasizes management theory, strategic thinking, organizational leadership, change, research, innovation, and social responsibility in the global business environment.  Through applied research and analysis of real-world management issues, students will have the opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge essential for senior-level of management.  Our online DBA program further emphasizes the application of research to develop strategies and tactics for solving organizational problems.  Students will learn to create and execute solutions that are effective and ethical.  The DBA at Post University will offer students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge, explore emerging business technologies while gaining real world experience through mentorship from experienced professors.

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree at Post University is ideal for mid-level managers or executives who want to grow in leadership roles as well as those who want to transition to academia.

Dissertation in Practice

The Dissertation in Practice in the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program is applied research that addresses real-world business challenges through data-driven analysis and innovative problem-solving. It equips scholar-practitioners to develop practical, ethical, and socially responsible business solutions, integrating global perspectives and emerging business theories. The Dissertation in Practice fosters advanced communication skills and an interdisciplinary, entrepreneurial approach, preparing leaders to drive meaningful change and enhance organizational effectiveness in a dynamic business environment.

Doctor of Business Administration Program Outcomes

  • Formulate solutions to practice business problems based on original research.
  • Construct socially responsible and ethical business strategies. 
  • Create and present advanced forms of oral and written communication. 
  • Construct solutions that incorporate the relationship between the global environment and business decisions.                                                                 
  • Devise strategies that apply current and emerging business theories and practices. 
  • Construct solutions from an interdisciplinary and entrepreneurial perspective. 


Students who enroll in the Doctor of Business Administration program who have not earned a bachelor's or master's degree in business must take BUS 701 Business Essentials. This course is designed as a foundation for developing essential business knowledge and skills.  It will be waived for students who have previously earned a bachelor's or master's degree in business.  

Zero-credit writing courses will be incorporated into the first three core courses. Zero-credit research courses will be incorporated into research courses.
