EQU 301 - Equine Industry Overview

This course begins with an overview of key advocacy organizations in the United States horse industry, considers the current state of the industry, and explores possibilities for the future. Students develop a basic understanding of the business manager's day-to-day concerns and examine various factors that affect business sustainability. Personal professional development topics are addressed in relation to specific businesses and the industry as a whole, which contributes billions of dollars to the U.S. economy.
