EQU 251 - Equine Biology

This course establishes a foundation for understanding the basic conformation and anatomy of the equine, in relation to body systems, specific organs, and the unique qualities and adaptations of equine species. Students will study the function and dysfunction of bodily processes with a focus on wellness, husbandry practices, and their influence on performance. The course will also address effective communication using appropriate terminology. Online students do not need hands-on access to a live horse to complete this course.
