CRJ 344 - Fire & Arson Investigation 3 Credits
This course focuses on the comprehensive examination and analysis of fire and explosion incidents. Emphasis is placed on learning the techniques for conducting, determining, and documenting the origin and cause of fires, as well as understanding the contributing factors of ignition and spread. Legal aspects surrounding arson, and search and seizure are thoroughly explored. The course covers developments in fire science and forensic methodologies, incorporating essential aspects of photography for forensic documentation. Prerequisites: CRJ 211 or permission of the Academic Department.
