HSV 203 - Introduction to Counseling Professions

This course introduces students to the diverse world of counseling and helping professions. Students will explore topics including characteristics of helping professionals, the role of personal values and beliefs, educational programs and career paths, and the importance of accreditation and licensure. Students will also navigate through personal values, motivations, cultural influences, and the ethical compass guiding their professional journey.
