Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms such as viruses, bacteria, yeast, and protists. This laboratory course allows students to examine and analyze microbes using specialized microbiological techniques. Students will be introduced to safety procedures for handling microbes, methods of identification, and inoculation and interpretation of diagnostic tests. Laboratory experiments will provide hands-on experience and enhance lecture material.
